About 14,098 stores of McDonalds currently run in U.S., and outside U.S the number goes to 19,412 which mean that the fast food company has more operating restaurants outside its homeland. In the emerging markets, McDonalds have about 5,942 stores.

Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) has probably not escaped from touching the soul of a single foodie. Although the original product of this fast food giant was pressure fried chicken pieces, it now specializes in chicken fillet burgers, salads, French fries and many more tantalizing food products. Founded by Harland Sanders, KFC now has 4,780 stores in U.S., 12,621 stores outside U.S. and 8,701 stores in emerging markets.
