World's 10 Best Cities for Students

Boston:

Ranking third on the list is Boston. With Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Boston has one of the best Universities. It is also one of the most historic cities in the U.S. and combines the hustle and bustle of a major metropolis, and happening art, politics and culture scene, with an abundance of green open space.

Boston has earned the nickname 'The Athens of America' due to its cluster of historic universities. With Harvard and MIT ranked numbers two and three in the world and Boston University also in the global top 100, Boston/Cambridge scores highly in the ranking indicator. It also ranks well for quality of living, student mix, and employer activity. The only major drawback is the costs; the ticket prices at Harvard and MIT approach a gob smacking U.S. $50,000 per year.
