Zubeidaa:

Shyman Benegal’s movie, Zubeidaa was released in 2001 and starred Karisma Kapoor and Rekha in important roles. The movie mainly revolves around the story of a girl [Karisma Kapoor,the lone daughter of a filmmaker named Suleman Seth (Amrish Puri], who gets married into a royal family and vexes about the precincts on her as princess and often voices her aggravation at not having her husband to herself. The movie also touches upon the story of Riyaz’s (Rajit Kapoor) search to understand his mother (Karisma Kapoor).

7 Khoon Maaf:

A 2011 black comedy drama thriller – Saath Khoon Maaf – was directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and had Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. Priyanka Chopra won vital commendation for her performance as Susanna, a potentially loathsome sequential spouse-killer. At the beginning Priyanka's character seemed negative but at the same time it gave an insight into a woman's heart and soul. Rather than hate her, many ended up sympathizing with her.
