Will Women Bank Empower Indian Women?

Even though this proposal has attracted a major portion of the population, yet there are many criticisms going on for the same. Some of the experts have called this decision of the government as a trick to attract the common people.

While some of the experts are stating that this step of the government will gain more confidence of the women section as they will be dealing with lady bankers and will also enhance women banking.

All the banks in India are offering credits to women. Once someone qualifies all the required conditions to get a loan or any kind of assistance from the bank, she will definitely get it. But if she cannot qualify all the required conditions, she won’t be getting it. And in this scenario, if the proposed bank offers credit to the disqualified customers, it might give rise to another economic crisis among the women.

Pritish Nandy, one of the most popular writers cum journalist said: "Wonderful. We can't stop rapes, crimes against women. But we want to open a bank for women. As if women can’t use normal banks!"
