Apple facing heat over poor working conditions in China

Working conditions in its Chinese manufacturing units have cast a shadow on Apple’s otherwise brilliant face. This, ironically, is yet another thing that has Apple’s concerns shifted to China. A report from vatornews referred to an open letter that two Chinese workers had written to Apple’s consumer base.

Apple later invited ABC Nightline correspondent Bill Weir into its Chinese manufacturing company called Foxconn, to prove that there was no abuse of human rights laws present.

However, in its audit report, Apple found that there were violations in pay and benefits for workers, breaches in environmental waste disposal, and the use of unsafe machinery.
