Bangalore: From books to movies, celebrities to devices, India has a long ban list in which some are banned due to protests, some in favor of the people while some in favor of the government.
Here are some of the famous bans.
Personalities
M F Hussain: Widely known as the Indian Picasso, he was forced into exile from India following the controversies regarding his paintings.
Salman Rushdie: The British Indian novelist and essayist was banned from India following the Satanic Verses controversy, also known as the Rushdie Affair.
