5. Smallest and Tallest Living Horses- Thumbelina and Radar Thumbelina is a dwarf miniature horse and the world's smallest horse. She stands 43 centimetres tall and weighs 26 kilograms and officially received the title of worlds smallest from the Guinness Book of World Records. Thumbelina was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Her owners, Paul and Kay Goessling, and her handler, Michael Goessling, cared for her along with many other miniature horses on their small farm in Ladue. While like many dwarf animals, Thumbelina is stout and possesses short limbs; Radar, a Belgian draft horse, measured 19 hands, 3.5 inches (79.5 inches, 202 centimeters) without shoes on July 27, 2004. Radar is owned by Priefert Manufacturing of Mount Pleasant, Texas. Radar stands tall, with a height of nineteen and a half hands high. The horse weighs almost 1100 kgs, which is more than a ton.
