2. MasterChef:
‘MasterChef India’ is a competitive cooking game show produced by FremantleMedia, which screens on Star Plus. Chef Ajay Chopra, Chef Kunal Kapoor along with Akshay Kumar (season 1) and Vikas Khanna (season 2) judged the reality show. It’s TRP has gone up to 2.61 in season 2, which is quite significant. But this show is also based on the original ‘MasterChef’ U.S. series. MasterChef U.S. was itself based on the ‘MasterChef’ of Australian format, produced by FremantleMedia Australia, which was also a replica of BBC series ‘MasterChef’. This is a very interesting chain of course from BBC format to Indian format.
