Bangalore: Recently ‘reality shows’ became the new genre in India. But sadly the shows are only the replica of popular foreign shows. What’s the reason? Is India loosing the originality in it, to create something new? Here is the list of such shows which is very popular among us:

1. Swayamwar:

This reality show is adopted from an American realty television dating game show ‘The Bachelor’. ‘Swayamwar’ broadcasts on NDTV Imagine, which started on June 29 2009 and is hosted by ‘Ram Kapoor’. There were 3 seasons till now participated by Rakhi Sawant, Rahul Mahajan and Ratan Rajput namingly ‘Rakhi ka Swayamwar’, ‘Rahul Dulhaniya le Jayega’ and ‘Ratan ka Rista’ respectively. This show was filmed at Fateh Garh Palace, Udaipur. The concept taken from ‘The Bachelor’ debuted long back on 2002 on ABC. There are two related series of this show – ‘The Bachelorette’ and ‘Bachelor Pad’. It was a huge hit and thus Indian television followed its footstep to hit score.
