Gatka:

Gatka is a weapon based fighting form of Sikhs in Punjab. ‘Gatka’ means “one whose freedom belongs to grace” and it is also said that the word came from Sanskrit word gadha or mace. Stick, Talwar, kirpan and kataar are the weapons which are majorly used in this art. Different positions of hands, feet and the nature of weapon used determines the attacking and defending positions. This art form is displayed during various celebration and fairs in Punjab.

 

Musti yuddha:

The oldest city of India ‘Varanasi’ gave birth to this unarmed form of martial art. Punches, kicks, knees and elbow strikes are the techniques used in this art. This art form is a complete skill of physical, mental and spiritual development. This art was very popular in 1960s, but now has become very rare.
