9) The Jungle Book:

‘The Jungle Book’ is perhaps the most read and enjoyed work of Rudyard Kipling as it talks about an adventurous boy, who is raised by wolves. As is the case with most of Kipling’s works, this story is set in India and describes a marvelous tale of Mowgli, who lives in the jungle with animals and considers himself to be one till he meets his own kind. This story unravels the astonishing world of animals and their relationships with Mowgli. Mowgli is an atypical boy, who hunts with the wolves, gets trained by a panther and a bear and is the target of a man-eating tiger. This story is a heartfelt tale of how all living beings are only different on the outside but are essentially the same, with families and friends. It also talks of how man can never stop learning from Mother Nature.

10) Curious George:

‘Curious George’ was written by Margret Rey and H. A. Rey and is perhaps one of the most beloved animal characters of the literary world. George is an exuberant and curious monkey, who gets captured by The Man With the Yellow Hat from the jungle and is taken to the city. Though home-sick, George is quickly taken by the urge to explore his new world and in the process lands up in trouble, along with his owner. The story is all about an enthusiastic primate, who always means well but gets his owner in trouble. George has a kind heart and always helps whoever in need and his sweet demeanor steals everybody’s hearts. This story is about following your heart’s desire to explore the world around you, even if it means defying the norms of the society at times.
