4. Malgudi days: This melodrama was based on the works of R.K. Narayan and was directed by the late Kannada actor and director, Shankar Nag. The hit music of this series was composed by Carnatic musician L. Vaidyanathan. The musical number “ tana na tana na na…….” was hummed by every kid and adult , who loved watching the famous character of the opera Swami in their television screen . The serial proved to be a 1986 blockbuster.

Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Ki jo:  Based on the backdrop of Bihar, the title song of this serial was also successful to trap the hearts of millions.” Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya hi Kijo……..” title track was sung by Lalit sen. This Indian soap opera by Swastik pictures was broadcasted on Zee TV from 2009 and ran till the second week of February 2011.
