Virtusa named 'Best U.S. Technology Company' in India

Hyderabad: Virtusa (NASDAQ: VRTU) has been recognized as the Best U.S. Technology, Communications and Entertainment company in India by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), the only bi-lateral chamber for Indo-US business. Prior winners of this award include Microsoft and Cisco. "This prestigious award highlights our company's success as a next-generation IT services firm that delivers the benefits of speed, efficiency and agility to our clients using a global delivery model. The tremendous dedication of our team members made this award possible," said Kris Canekeratne, Virtusa Chairman and CEO. The Indo-American Corporate Excellence (I-ACE) Awards 2008 recognize the best U.S. companies in India in four categories, including Overall Best Company, and best U.S. Company in Financial Services, in Manufacturing and Other Services, and in Technology, Communications and Entertainment. Nominees for I-ACE Awards are reviewed by a distinguished jury and judged on factors such as financial performance, Indo-U.S. trade, corporate social responsibility initiatives and human capital management. Virtusa has enjoyed a nine-year history in India, with global delivery centers in Hyderabad and Chennai. The company is in the process of building a new, 6,000 person capacity campus in Hyderabad.
