UST Global opens two campuses in Kerala

Trivandrum: UST Global (formerly US Technology), a provider of IT services and business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions expanded its operations in Kerala by opening two campuses in Kerala. V S Achuthandan, Chief Minister of Kerala, inaugurated the two campuses in Kochi and Trivandrum.
The UST Global Kochi Centre is at Vismaya Building, InfoPark, Kochi while the other is situated in Bhavani, Technopark, Trivandrum.
Spread over an area of 36 acres, the Trivandrum campus represents one of the most ambitious IT projects in Kerala state with Phase 1 creating 5000 jobs by early 2009.
"Information Technology is all set to embark on a new phase in Kerala state," said Achuthanandan.
"The Trivandrum Campus is the next step in our vision to become the best IT and BPO services company in the world. Through the UST Global Trivandrum Campus, we will fulfill our mission of transforming the lives of this generation in Kerala," said Sajan Pillai, President and COO, UST Global.
The Kochi facility is the second centre to come up in Kerala. It features a total built up area of 200,000 square feet with eight floors, each comprising of 25,000 square feet. Beginning with a 250-strong workforce, the centre will scale up to accommodate 2000 IT professionals within 2 years.
Recently UST Global was included in the 2007 North America Offshore Applications Services Magic Quadrant (1) report by Gartner. Forrester Research recently showcased UST Global in its report on global IT services companies as a leading mid tier player.
