Fremont: Ranju Batra, the newly-elected President of the Association of Indians in America (New York chapter), has had a long-standing foundation in different social and charitable causes. A very active member of AIA, Ranju has been the Cultural Chair for several years, and has played a crucial role in organizing various events like the highly-celebrated annual Diwali program at New York's South Street Seaport. As a paralegal, and the Office Administrator for the Law Firm of Ravi Batra, P.C, known for its landmark victories, she has successfully balanced her professional life with progressive community efforts. Ranju has been involved in various other organizations, including being on the Board of Trustees for Hindu Center, as well as being active in both Arya Samaj of Westchester and Children's Hope. Her zeal towards making a difference in the US with civic, cultural, and political activities is tremendous. She has helped in the election of many members of the Supreme Court. Her support has also been sought by national, state, and local politicians, as well as various cultural and religious organizations dedicated to the Indian-American community. Ranju's diligence and goal-oriented philosophy has made her a strong and worthy bridge between India and the US.
