Though many reality shows focus on the prize money alone, these TV shows for budding entrepreneurs promise them not just the prize money, but also a high-pressure environment which gives them the chance to learn many aspects of the business from their co-participants and the experts who act as judges on the show.
Shark Tank
A reality television series, which premiered on ABC television, Shark Tank features a panel of five wealthy entrepreneurs 'Sharks' who have each bootstrapped themselves and made their entrepreneurial dreams come true. The show gives budding entrepreneurs a chance to make their dreams come true. The tough stage of the show is how these entrepreneurs convince the sharks to part with their hard-earned money to fund these entrepreneurs' ideas. Though it seems like a cakewalk for few who are good at bargaining, the crux comes at a pint where they have to offer a part in the equity to the sharks in order to get the money. A great idea would find multiple sharks trying to get their teeth into the meat, while a bad idea would just repel the sharks, leading the participant to the exit.
