Transcend launches 600X CF cards for photographers

Bangalore: Transcend has announced the release of its Extreme Plus 600X CompactFlash (CF) card with Turbo MLC technology in the Indian market. This flash card is made keeping in mind professional photographers and enthusiasts who use digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and require high speed flash cards. "We are confident that Indian photographers, both professional and amateur, and all other power users will appreciate the excellent and unmatched performance offered by this product," said Austin Huang, Regional Head, Sales, SAARC and APAC, Transcend.
Transcend's Extreme Plus 600X CF card operates in quad-channel mode using Ultra DMA 6 (the fastest speed available for flash cards). It transfers and reads at a speed of up to 92MB/s and writes at the speed of 87MB/s. This card is able to store high-resolution image data which makes consecutive shooting and non-stop video recording easier.
Transcend's 600X CF card is manufactured using advanced flash controllers and premium quality NAND flash memory chips. Each card contains built-in ECC (Error Correction Code) that automatically detects and corrects errors during data transfer and also utilizes wear-leveling algorithm for consistent long-life operation.
