The other distinguished names in the top 10 included Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Standard Chartered Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC and Ernst & Young. Foreign investment banks dominated the M&A advisory business, suggesting their growing bond with Indian corporate executives, revealed Mergermart. Domestic firms like JM Financial and Kotak didn't make it to the top 10 list, Kotak remained unchanged at 19th advising deals worth $1.3 billion but saw market share erode to 3.4 percent. Kotak had parted ways with Goldman Sachs in 2006.. The top firms have been under the control of women power. Aisha de Sequeira, a 41-year-old mother of three, is MD of Morgan Stanley and holds high stakes world of investment and banking. Others firms include former UBS country head Manisha Girothra, Vedika Bhandarkar of Credit Suisse, Kalpana Morparia of JP Morgan and Naina Lal Kidwai of HSBC.
