Another Aamir Khan movie on Cricket. Directed by a diehard Cricket fan Dev Anand, Awwal Number was probably one of the first few movies that pioneered the theme of sports based jealousy, passion, love and the spirit. The story revolves around cricket where a new star Sunny (Aamir Khan) has been included in the team in place of another famous star Ronny (Aditya Pancholi). All this creates hatred in heart of Ronny against Sunny though Sunny respects him. In short, Awwal Number' had all drama that attracted Bollywood filmmakers to make films on themes like this.
