3. New Windows 8 applications

Applications like Lync and new OneNote are first Windows 8 style applications which are designed to deliver touch-first experiences on a tablet. OneNote allows you to keep your notes handy in the cloud and across multiple devices. It also lets you snap a picture from a paper, crop a part of it and drag and drop it. With Lync which is a communications platform you can drag and drop someone from the contact list into a live meeting, drop a presentation into the shared canvas and draw on the presentation with a touch screen device.

4. Included in Windows RT

Home and Student edition of the new Office with new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote applications will be included in Microsoft’s tablet Surface and also in other tablets running on Windows RT.
