Krishna Bharat

Bharat is the principal scientist at Google and is the creator of Google news, one of the biggest endeavors by Google.

His creation, Google news was honoured with the Webby award (news category) in the year 2003   and he also won the World Technology Award for media and journalism in the same year.

Prior to joining Google in the year 1999, Bharat was part of DEC Systems Research Center, where he developed the Hilltop algorithm. He completed his engineering from IIT Madras and received PhD in human computer interaction form Georgia Tech.
