4. Instagram

Instagram must really be something special if Facebook paid the big bucks for it. It was a community only for the Apple users but thankfully it has arrived on the android platform too. Users will vouch for the fact that it is addictive. The app also makes it easier for users to jump from one person’s photos to the other.

The flip side is that the photos are too small and the effects are average. The audience base is much smaller than the other biggies such as flickr and tumblr. But all said and done it is the perfect mix of photo sharing and social networking.
