When broken down by age, 91 percent of toilet-texters were from the Gen Y (which generally consists of people born between 1980 and 2000). 80 percent of Gen X (which includes people born between the early 1960s to late 1970s) used their phones while enthroned on the toilet seat, along with 65 percent Boomers, and 47 percent of the Silent Generation.
