7.Indian election in 1984 :
The Indian election in 1984 was the largest election of any country. General elections were held in India in 1984 soon after the assassination of previous Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The election was won convincingly by the Indian National Congress of Rajiv Gandhi (son of Indira), who claimed 414 seats, and a majority of 295 in the 533-seat parliament.
