The eleven year period that Apple continued on without Jobs was the major low point for the company. Innovation slowed down and Apple went under several leadership changes and the company was under the verge of financial oblivion. But, in 1996, Apple purchased Job’s NeXT, and he returned as Chairman and CEO.
