Liveoffice Acquired By Symantec
In a deal that valued $115 million, California based Symantec, security and storage company, acquired Liveoffice. Liveoffice was a privately held provider of online, cloud-based email archiving services. The acquisition was made to extend Symantec’s intelligent information governance offerings to the cloud, providing customers choice between on-premise, cloud or hybrid delivery of the company’s solutions. Liveoffice was founded in 1998 and backed by leading PE firm Summit Partners.
