Origin: Nintendo has its roots way back in 1187 when it made cards for the Japanese game Hanafuda. Starting from game cards, Nintendo tried its hand in many other divisions like opening a taxi company, establishing 'love hotels' and by trying to sell vacuum cleaners. It finally got into the video game business in the mid 1970s.
The Nintendo Entertainment System is an 8-bit video game console that was released by Nintendo in North America during 1985, As the best-selling gaming console of its time. The NES helped revitalize the US video game industry following the video game crash of 1983, and set the standard for subsequent consoles of its generation.
