Bangalore: In the existing scenario of Social Networking, Twitter has done fairly well in establishing its existence. But according to a study conducted by Sysomos, a media analytics firm, which examined 1.2 billion tweets, sent in August and September 2009 it has been revealed that more than seven in every 10 tweets receive no reaction from the world.
After counting all the parameters, the research revealed that fewer than one in 200 messages get retweeted after an hour's gone by. It is yet to be figured out on how the company treated messages that were both replied to and retweeted. 23 percent of messages disappears after every one hour. Sysomos found that 85 per cent of replied-to messages get just one reply, 10.7 per cent get two, and just 1.53 per cent get three replies. 96.9 percent of @replies are posted within an hour of the original tweet.
