Bangalore:  With the emergence of Android and iPhone, Microsoft and its windows phone falls to 6 percent from 9 percent in the U.S market, reveals the leading market analyst Nielsen.

Smartphones with Android and iPhone OS hold the top position in the U.S market as Android holds 42.8 percent of the market of which HTC constitutes 15.0 percent, Motorola 10.4 percent, Samsung 10.1 percent and others 7.2 percent. The second popular player is Apple iPhone OS which holds 28.3 percent of the Smartphone industry, RIM Blackberry 17.8 percent and then Windows Phone 6.1 percent.

In the market Windows phone is said to be struggling behind Android and Apple devices. But on the other hand, it’s moving forward to introduce its windows Phone 7.5(WP7.5) Mango OS, which is pretty different from Android and iPhone. It is a smarter way for Microsoft to give the demo version of Mango OS in Android and iPhone to get people to try out and reports suggest that Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is spotted on Android and IOS. Also, more and more windows phone devices are coming to the market as Nokia has just announced two new handsets with Mango OS. As the Mango update is moving forward, the Microsoft can recapture its lost glory in the U.S. market.
