Windows Phone 7 first update coming in March

Bangalore: Microsoft's mobile operating system Windows Phone 7 (WP7) will receive its first update in March. The update will be free and available by the first two weeks in March. The update will bring features like copy-paste and faster app performance. The platform will be made to better suit integration with Bing and Windows Marketplace. The announcement of the update came at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. He also announced that CDMA network support will be added to WP7 by mid year and WP7 run devices supporting CDMA will be made available in the U.S. first. The update will see other overhauls coming to the WP7 like sharing and storage of Office documents in the Cloud through Windows Live SkyDrive, browsing abilities in the Internet Explorer 9, more multitasking capabilities and Twitter integration to People Hub among others. More details of the update will be divulged at the MIX conference happening in April.
