Videocon launches its satellite products across India

Bangalore: Videocon d2h has announced its pan India presence by offering a range of satellite products. After being launched in Punjab and in Various regions in Kerala, it is offering world's first satellite LCD, satellite TV, satellite DVD as well as the satellite box (STB), which is seen as a next step in Direct to home (DTH) services.
"We are glad to introduce our satellite range of products and services. We are the latest entrant in the DTH category in India, but surely not the same as others. We are creating a new category of Satellite Products. Our exclusive line of Satellite range of products is sure to catch the eye of today's consumer, who is looking for technological innovations," said Anil Khera, CEO, Bharat Business Channel Ltd. (BBCL).
"DTH has revolutionized the TV viewing experience in India by spearheading the introduction of innovative services. We at Videocon d2h are just making sure that the experience is enhanced and more convenient by integrating both the technologies in one," Khera added.
With Abhishek Bachchan as the brand ambassador for Videocon d2h, who according to Khera makes a perfect match with the Videocon d2h brand attributes of innovation and high-quality entertainment, Videocon d2h, which launched its operations in the 2nd Quarter of 2009 and will offer direct-to-home services in March-April.
Abhishek Bachchan will be featured across all Videocon d2h brand and product communication including advertisements on TV, Print, Outdoor, Radio and all BTL media like POS & collaterals. "I am delighted to be associated with the brand which has combined technological innovation with a range of products. Videocon d2h is the only one which epitomizes the true meaning of Direct-to-home as it connects the viewer directly through their latest product offerings, which no other brand has to offer currently. These Satellite Products receive DTH services directly; they do not need a set top box," said Abhishek Bachchan.
Through its satellite LCD, DTH signals can be received in MPEG-4DVB S2 technology. Available in various sizes, the satellite LCD comes with a single remote both for LCD and DTH and facilitates you to watch a movie of your choice.
With various active services, it has also got invisible speakers. It has got all features for pleasant viewing, with an anti glare technology, mega contrast ratio of 2,00,000:1, dynamic contrast improvement and 178 degrees viewing angle
Videocon d2h has partnered with Irdeto as it offers a versatile, modular and scalable Conditional Access system (CAS) that protects content conveyed over cable, satellite, terrestrial, IP, mobile and hybrid networks to the pay TV operators. They are also associated with Tech Mahindra as their IT partners and IBM to provide a world-class technology infrastructure.
Customer call centres with toll free contact numbers have been set up in Pune, Dehradun and Bangalore,to resolve all queries in nine languages.
