8. Location Tracking brought to light
Apple was sued by 2 scientists when they found the company tracking locations of iPhone users. Apple was mum about this issue in the start but later it broke its silence and said they had a location tracking database to make it more secure which tranquilized the issue a bit. The database was confidential and no one would see the location services on their phones in a same way again.
