The first Retailer App store introduced in India

Bangalore: A new Indian player has emerged and is taking its first steps amongst the already established specific App Stores available across different mobile brands and devices. The release of Croma Apps has been announced by Infiniti Retail that is likely to offer software Apps for the netbook platform in India. Free and paid cost effective applications meant for Intel Atom processor based netbooks will be featured by Croma Apps. According to recent figures quoted, Croma is India's first electronics and gadgets retailer to step into Software App Store scene.
With over a 1000 applications related to entertainment, social networking, gaming and productivity categories already present, the retail store Croma already has made available Croma branded Netbooks with Croma Apps client pre-installed. A free download is available for the already existing netbook users and paid applications by visiting Croma' s website and downloading the Croma Apps client.
Drawing an example of Apple, just as Apple is working on the Mac App Store, this is the Croma App Store?s initiative for the netbooks running Intel Atom CPU and powered by Intel AppUp platform.
A comfort level is available between Intel AppUp platform and Windows 7 Starter Edition, Windows 7 Home Basic, Windows 7 Home Premium, and Windows XP SP 3 with .NET 3.5 Service Pack 1. You ll have to register In order to download the Apps from the App Store, all what is required is a registration to enable the download.
