9. Facebook was infiltrated by a worm called Ramnit that stole around 45,000 users’ login credentials. However, a spokesperson from Facebook clarified to ZDNet that more than half the accounts compromised were invalid, or had old or changed passwords. Ramnit was discovered to be an evolved, hybrid version of the Zeus worm as noted in 2011 by Amit Klein, CTO of Trusteer.

 

 

 

10. A team of Saudi hackers who said they were affiliated to the hacker collective Anonymous, attacked Israeli websites twice this week, and compromised more than 50,000 people's credit card information. However, only bout 25,000 of these were valid, said Dov Kotler, CEO of IsraCard. Few online purchases were made during the night using some cards' information, but the banks blocked before more damage was done.
