TCS, the largest IT recruiter : NASSCOM
Bangalore: Tata Consultancy Services has been announced as the largest recruiter over the last year, according to the annual rankings composed by Nasscom. TCS is followed by Infosys and Wipro Technologies. Nasscom announced the annual rankings of top 20 IT-BPO employers in India for 2010-11 this Thursday. The heave in hiring was recorded, as one third of the industry aims to grow by 25 percent. Over two-third of the industry aims to increase their employee base by 10 percent in the coming press, reported a press release. The increasing number of women had the main focus, as the percentage of total new hires observed growth more than 40 per cent over the last three years. Due to increased referrals, campus placements and internal job postings, the cost of hiring for all industries have faced a decline over the last three years. Hiring from tier-3 cities has also increased over the last year. A latest survey, reports 90 percent increase in employee referrals; 75 percent increase in campus hiring and internal job postings. Moreover, offer acceptance ratio was estimated at 80 per cent. The top 10 list includes Cognizant Technology Solutions India Private Limited and HCL Technologies Limited at fourth and fifth position respectively, followed by Mphasis Limited, Genpact Limited, Capgemini India Private Limited, Tech Mahindra Limited, Aegis Limited.
