Bangalore: Users of Apple's iOS run devices were always at the disadvantage of not being able to enjoy Flash content in their iPods or iPhones. However, Skyfire's browser released for iPhone today resolved the problem for the users, allowing them to watch flash videos. But this is not the hot news anymore. Here's what happened after the app was put on in the iPhone App Store - Utilities Category list. Apparently people went the whole hog and the Skyfire for iPhone app was sold out within five hours, reported a Skyfire blog post, thus prompting the company to briefly stop accepting new purchases from the App Store. The blog read, "The demand far exceeds our initial projections. The user experience was performing well for the first few hours, but as the surge continued, the peak load on our servers and bandwidth caused the video experience to degrade. Thus we are effectively 'sold out' and will temporarily not accept new purchases from the App Store. We are working really hard to increase capacity and will be accepting new purchases from the App Store as soon as we can support it." The Skyfire app for iPhone is sold at $2.99 and is designed as a full-fledged Web browser complete with an address bar and Google search box. It characterizes adaptive streaming technology, multi tab browsing and one click sharing to Facebook and Twitter. The app has become the third highest paid app overall in the iPohne App Store, added the Skyfire blog.
