Bangalore: In a relentless flow of people that lasted for a whole day, over 2000 experienced techies enthralled the HAL Convention Center in Bangalore in search of the right job on November 16. On the employers' side, around 13 IT majors put up their stalls to scout the right talent. The job fair was conducted by SiliconIndia, business and technology magazine published from Fremont, California, which covers business, technology and entrepreneurship. The participating companies at the event included Accenture, Rediff.com, OnMobile, Aricent, Encora, L&T Infotech, TeleDna, Aryaka, Keynote, SumTotal, GlobalLogic and Vati. Most of the companies conducted interviews and tests, short listed candidates, and made offerings on the spot. On the response of the candidates in the job fair, Sandeep Hoysal, Senior Executive- HR, OnMobile said, "The response of candidates was amazing and we had the highest number of people visiting our stalls. Candidates with the skill set that we were looking for, were very less, but we got few candidates, who were closer to those skills." Siliconindia is a 12-year old media firm.
