Ramco aims big on Cloud, introduces OnDemand cloud analytics solution
Chennai: Further strengthening its position as an industry leader in enterprise cloud products, Ramco Systems has announced the launch of Ramco OnDemand-Analytics and Gateway products on the Cloud which would boost its ambitious aim of tenfold revenue growth by 2016. The launch seen as a great expansion of its portfolio, Ramco has steeped into analytics which is the first full-fledged pre-built analytics on the Cloud. The pre-engineered system enables the current customers to avail of the 'switch-on' functionality, while others will need to go through the 'plug n play' mode. The ready-to-use analytics solutions can be integrated with any ERP with a set of connectors. Ramco OnDemand Analytics is powered by a comprehensive Business Intelligence Platform - Ramco DecisionWorks - which offers a robust infrastructure, and can address large scale enterprise data warehousing requirements. It facilitates business performance monitoring, decision support and strategy formulation for an enterprise. Venketrama Raja, Vice Chairman, Managing Director & CEO, Ramco Systems said, "Cloud is a revolutionary business model that dramatically changes the way businesses are run. The Gateway product offers a Zero touch/self-service implementation feature and the gateway products will predominantly be sold through strategic partners. CRM will be the first Gateway product to be launched in July 2011. The others in the pipeline are Distribution Management, Fixed Assets, HR & Payroll and Service Management System. Speaking at the launch, Kamesh Ramamoorthy, COO, Ramco Systems said, "Our Cloud ERP offering - Ramco OnDemand ERP - has gained very good traction in the market. This success has given us the right impetus to further enhance our offerings on the Cloud. With the Gateway products, we are revolutionizing the ERP market by offering self-service implementation, thereby making entry into ERP-class solution, simple, easy and gradual. With Analytics on Cloud, we are providing the full power of a decision support system, with all the benefits of Cloud. Also, as it is pre-built, customers will get to see the real solution even before subscribing to it. We see big potential for cloud adoption in India." In a short interaction, Kamesh explained the different models - public, private and the community cloud models. He sees the community cloud model as an innovative initiative as it offers an industry specific shared model for different sections of the industry such as aviation, automotive etc. He also says the variety of offerings provides multiple delivery options for their customers and claims that the new products offer up to 50 percent savings for customers as compares to the conventional ERP solutions. The only home-grown ERP player to go global, Ramco aims a tenfold growth in revenue as it sets it strategic focus to reach at $100 million revenue in Public cloud by 2016 from where it stands now at $10 million. The company also aims grow from its current revenue of $35 million in private cloud to 100 million in 2016. One of the early entrants into the cloud space in India, Ramco currently has more than 3000 users for its ERP on the Cloud and expects to touch 7000 users in 12 months. The company which holds the largest share of cloud ERP solutions in the country, aims to provide services to price-conscious small and medium business houses in India. Ramco also claims to have almost 25-30 percent market share of cloud users in India.
