Mumbai: If you want a dose of Indian humour, www.lol-land.in is the answer to you. Log in and laugh.
Started by three students of the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) one year ago, www.lol-land.in is a website of Indian Humour. They set up the website and started generating its content on their own.
According to Vaibhav Devanathan, who manages content on the site, Indian daily life is full of humour, but no particular website is dedicated to it. The content of the website is fully based on the Indian way of life from Mithun Chakraborty to bad movies to Sachin Tendulkar, he said.
Run by five students, the content of the site is generated by about 10 IITians. Stating their future plans, Mayank Singhal, who formats the website, said that they are going to develop it into a long-term venture, not just a college hobby. So far, the site has an average of 1,000 visitors a day. The team has further plans to provide content to publications.
