MSC.Software releases Easy5 2010
Santa Ana: MSC.Software, a multidiscipline simulation solutions provider unveiled its Easy5 2010 solution, which is ready for download. According to the company, this new release of Easy5 delivers significant user benefits including enriched application libraries and usability and productivity enhancements. The Thermal Hydraulics, Gas Dynamics, Multi-phase Fluid, and General Purpose libraries in Easy5 have been updated and enriched with new components, new demo models, new configurations, and improved documentation support. MSC.Software says that these enhancements provide engineers with expanded modeling capabilities, increased model sophistication, and faster model construction. "This release of Easy5 2010 is yet another step forward in providing our customers with a broad set of multidiscipline simulation solutions to accelerate their product innovation," said Sanjay Choudhry, VP Product and Release Management at MSC.Software. "Mechanical systems often include controls or other complex subsystems, and we strive to provide our customers with tightly integrated CAE tools that deliver increased flexibility and functionality to simulate more aspects of their designs." According to MSC.Software, improved code generation in this release allows users to work with larger models. The model code was broken into two files which reduces memory overhead. Engineers can now work with models that are 25 percent larger. Easy5 is available on 64-bit Linux so users can take advantage of faster hardware technology. Additionally, analysis startup times have been reduced by as much as 45 percent over v2008 for larger models giving users an immediate boost in productivity.
