LG inks deal with Microsoft to offer 3D gaming on Xbox 360s
Bangalore: LG has made a deal with Microsoft and both firms will collaborate on bringing 3D gaming to the Xbox 360 console. LG will benefit from the deal as bundles that include a 3D LG TV and an Xbox 360 will be offered. This pairing will include LG's LX5900 3D TV, likely in both 47- and 55-inch sizes, though it will be relegated to Korea for the time being. Despite this announcement, there is no indication of what changes, hardware or otherwise, Microsoft will make to its console to enable 3D source file processing. A new, slim Xbox 360 is expected to be unveiled at the E3 Expo in June, which may be an opportunity to introduce 3D capabilities. LG's 3D TVs will use 480Hz LED panels to deliver their 3D content.
