Kobian enters the surveillance cameras market
Bangalore: Kobian has forayed into surveillance camera market with the introduction of standalone surveillance cameras ranging from Infrared CCDs to the Dome and DSP Box Cameras. "Security is a growing concern for everyone and very soon we shall be seeing the common man employing surveillance in their homes too. The quality of the camera is the most important feature in such product and the channel should educate the consumer regarding the same. Thus at Kobian we ensure that all Mercury Cameras whether in the DIY Kits, combo or standalone cameras are using the state of the art technology lens and sensor which shall give the optimum result to the consumer," said Sushmita Das, Country Manager, Kobian. The Mercury Weatherproof Infrared CCD Camera is powered with Sony CCD sensor. It has inbuilt 35 units and 30 units of 850nm High Power IR LED. This helps to shoot in the areas with minimum illumination and for night surveillance. It also has a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) chipset for image control and provides high sensitivity, low smear, high anti-blooming and high S/N Ratio. The IR allows the camera to cover a distance of 50m and has features like Auto Electronic Shutter, Auto Gain control and Auto White balance. The Mini Dome Camera is more ideal for surveillance in offices, schools and hospitals. It is equipped with rotatable cover and high power Sony CCD Sensor. The DSP chipset offers a High sensitivity and high S/N ratio and it is furnished with DC Power cable and video cable. Kobian is the manufacturer for Mercury branded IT Peripherals and with the launch of these cameras has just entered the surveillance cameras market. Mercury's Espial surveillance products - DVR and DIY Kits are growing in the security space. The DIY Kit has the Mercury Espial DVR with True Triplex Functionality which allows playback, record, display and network simultaneously. It also has a feature which allows remote monitoring through mobile phone.
