Kaspersky reduce prices to target corporates, SME clients
Bangalore: Kaspersky Labs, IT security solutions company, has decided to reduce it's per-license pricing to sell its internet security and anti-virus products to big corporates and small and medium enterprises. "We have sold internet security and anti-virus solutions worth $2 million last year. We are targeting $4 million this year. For corporates and SMEs, we charge 40-50 percent less, depending on the number of users," said Alexander Gnatusin, Director of Channel (South Asia), Kaspersky. Currently, it charges 990 per license. Gnatusin spoke at the launch of Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Anti-Virus 2010 in the Indian market. He said Kaspresky realized that the India-specific market needs and reduced the cost of its security products significantly to make it affordable. The Moscow based company tied up with the Hyderabad based Zoom Technologies for distributing its products in India. "We have implemented the solution in the South Central Railways, Andhra Pradesh Police and some defense organizations. With the recession putting pressure on the companies' spend on Internet security solutions, we are targeting them with affordable pricing," said M.H. Noble, Managing Director of Zoom Technologies to Businessline.
