New Delhi: Major IT training companies like NIIT, HCL Infosystems, Aptech, NIS Sparta, and IndiaCan have submitted their Expression of Interest for empanelment of training institutes under the government's unique identification (UID) project.
Other firms who are expected to be in the race include CMC, Jetking Infotrain, Hero MindMine, among others.
The empanelled institutes will impart training to the staff of enrolling agency, which interfaces with residents seeking the UID numbers, in order to establish a standardized enrolling process across the country.
The training element is critical to the UID project, which seeks to hand out unique identification numbers to 1.2 billion residents over the next few years.
