IPL on mobile, a big success: Says a report
Bangalore: The mobile platform has witnessed a 100 percent increase in user interest, for access to the information and updates related to cricket as compared to last year, reveals a report. The report also highlights the interesting trends observed during IPL season. According to the report by Informate Mobile Intelligence, Sports sites, had a higher page views compared to last year. The official website for IPL continued a high reach during the series followed by Cricinfo.com. These two websites also led in terms of page views, where Cricbuzz.com had the highest share last season. In the gaming segment, Brian Lara cricket, Cricket T20 world Championship app and Freddie Flintoff were the top games during this season of IPL. Many of the Cricket games that figured last year were visible this season too. "The IPL on the mobile platform has received tremendous response from mobile users across the country. The rate at which mobile phone owners in India are consuming the IPL information on their phone is a testament to the value, simplicity and the premium content the service offers. Mobile has become one of the main sources of information and entertainment across the country," said Kedar Sohoni, President, Informate Mobile Intelligence.
