Impetus launches SandStorm 5.2

Bangalore: Impetus Technologies, which is engaged in outsourced product development and engineering services, launched SandStorm 5.2, an enhanced and even more feature-rich version of its automated performance testing tool.
SandStorm, Impetus' automated performance testing tool, is being continuously innovated with new features with an enhanced value. SandStorm 5.2 has next generation features such as domain name system (DNS) and session initiation protocol (SIP) support, automatic proxy setting, user interface enhancements for runtime modifications of test scripts and admin module, use of open office on Linux for test report generation and ability to conditionally execute transactions through user interface.
On the occasion, Shirish Bhale, Associate Director-Engineering, Impetus Technologies says, "Equipped with a full line of performance oriented services, we help organizations optimize system operations, provides high performance planning, testing, real-time performance monitoring services, as well as remediation of performance issues and service level agreements (SLAs)." The enhanced version provides performance testing capabilities for SIP and DNS protocol based applications and also provides better ease of use for creating realistic test scripts.
SandStorm helps to predict system behavior and performance. It exercises an entire enterprise infrastructure by emulating thousands of users to identify and isolate problems and has features comparable to industry standard tools.
SandStorm is written in Java and supports variety of protocols. It provides graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for all the activities from test-creation, configuration, management to reporting and analysis. In addition to other important features, SandStorm also supports integrated resource monitoring of the servers under test to take fruitful decisions after the test execution.
