Bangalore: HP has decided to cut down the price of their TouchPad due to low sales. The product released a month back and was priced at $500. The $50 instant discount on the sales has been offered from July 29th to September 10th. The rival Apple has crashed the sales of Android and HP TouchPads, which forced them to bring down the price. The 16GB model will be available for $450 and $550 for the 32GB till September. The price cut indicates the lower sales of the TouchPad. Amazon.com the online shopping site is offering additional discounts of more $10, so the price of 32GB tablet will have $60 off on purchase through Amazon. The price cut policy adopted by HP to get customers to use their product portrays their smartness. As the demand for TouchPad will increase, more applications will be developed and sold by HP. This process can increase the sales of their future TouchPads, Smartphones, computers and other devices running its WebOS platform.
