Bangalore: LG's glasses-free 3D display for mobiles was exhibited in Consumer Electronic Show held in the beginning of this month. Many mobile makers like Sharp have already released mobile phones like GALAPAGOS Softbank 003SH, and GALAPAGOS SoftBank 005SH in Japan during November last year with the same glasses-free 3D display technology. The demo happened on a 3D system using a 4.3 inch LCD which had a resolution of 800x480. Parallax barrier, a technology which allows users to view stereoscopic images without the use of 3D glasses, is used in these mobile phones. Though LG has revealed that 3D display is going to be launched in any one of the models, it has not yet revealed which model will comprise the integration. Several Smartphone makers are introducing their latest devices in the forthcoming Mobile World Conference next month and LG is also expected to release its phone with its latest 3D technology in place.
