Cyber War, threat to National Security!

Bangalore: Information Warfare and computer security are the forefronts of cyber strategies. Whenever talked about war, the first thing that comes to mind is physical war. But here its about the information war. Manu Zacharia, Director-Information Security, Millennium Consultants pinpoints that "On 14th Aug Indian PM's website was attacked, and also 1200 Indian website were attacked on 15th Aug". The entire session was covered on the topic 'Information Warfare' were he shared his knowledge on what information warfare is. He said, "Information warfare also known as Cyber war is a new bloodless war zone, were electronic messages and 'viruses' are introduced into the enemy's computers, either to disable them or to plant false information". Further he adds, on tackling the cyber war there are two groups of school of which one school believes 'Information Warfare is a military business', while the other school believes that 'any agencies who have knowledge on net computing should be part of Information Warfare'. He also said about 'the Manchurian attacks and the Iranian Attacks'. He further shared information on EC2 (Amazon Elastic Computing Cloud) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers. The SiliconIndia Security Conference had got more insights from every attendy, "This session was quite useful and helped me in gaining very wide knowledge on the Information warfare, which I wasn't aware of" says Virendra Yadav from Wipro.
