Bangalore: Cyber attacks are nothing new but the way they are occurring these days is definitely different and unexpected. Cyber criminals are now increasing security attacks by using the virtualized world of cloud computing, reports Lisa Banks of the Computerworld.
"Security offenders and hackers have become more sophisticated in recent years, using newer technologies such as cloud-based services," said Ted Egan, Founder and CEO, TrustDefender, an Australian security company. Egan added that the cyber criminals are no more restricted told an conventional methods of evading security techniques.
"Employees are being given devices like mobile phones that aren't being put on the books of the company. You can use it for whatever you want, but how do companies know it's secure when you're putting confidential data onto those machines and then feeding back that data into the cloud?", added Egan.
